1930s: Toothbrush Mustache

This style of mustache was very popular in the first half of the 20th century.  It is called a toothbrush mustache because it looks like someone is putting a toothbrush under their nose.  It is also called the “Charlie Chaplin” mustache, as famous silent movie comedian Charlie Chaplin had this mustache.
